Terrorist Attack against the "Civilization of Death"
A Hungarian Response
We mourn the massacred journalists, the murdered policemen and hostages in the Paris terrorist attacks. We condemn the terrorist attacks and the killing of the Parisian journalists, considered innocent according to the laws of their country.
The attackers justified their deeds, provoked by the repeated abuse of their religious beliefs and symbols by the French satirical magazine, for which their "culture" imposes the only possible punishment: the death penalty. Yesterday’s demonstration, mobilizing millions of people, proves that France and Europe see it in an entirely different light, and they insist that nothing can limit the freedom of speech, of art and the press, not even faith and its symbols. The mobilization of 80,000 policemen for the apprehension of the three perpetrators of the terrorist attack, the scale of the Paris demonstration yesterday, and the multitude of high-ranking political figures in attendance, leave no doubt that France and the European Union resolutely defend their secularized culture.
Yet, there are other voices. There are some people who think that what the French satirical rag did far overstepped the freedom of the press. There are some people who think that this rag should have been banned at the time when it displayed on its front page the central figures of the Christian faith, the Holy Trinity, as principal characters of an obscene homosexual orgy. But, in the state that succeeded the French Revolution and, in a Europe that was patterned in her image, this abominable blasphemy remained without consequences.
If Europe had learned the lesson from its own history, then this horrible bloodshed might never have happened.
Europe had the opportunity to become acquainted with conflicts which erupted on account of religion and its symbology because, four hundred years ago, the Thirty-Years War with religion-prompted killings, well-nigh exterminated the populace of today’s Western Europe.
The Hungarian response, even then – before its time - was emphatically formulated at the Diet of Torda (January 6-13, 1568), half a century before the outbreak of the Thirty Years War (1618-1648). Hungary was the first nation in the world to incorporate into law the equality of the accepted religions, declaring that no injury might befall any person because of his religious persuasion.[1].
The resoluteness of France today is moving. But it does not follow from this that societies that let blasphemy go unpunished will be victorious in the life and death struggle, however big earthly powers they might mobilize in the defense of their presumed righteousness.
That civilization, which banishes from its life all that is holy, and allows profanity to take its place in the name of freedom of speech, art or freedom of the press; which eliminates tradition, and, by so doing, serves to vindicate the interests of the contrived ideologies of visible or invisible power groups, threatening individuals, communities, peoples and nations; that civilization, which clears the way for the means of the extinction of human life, built on the cult of same-sex partnerships – that civilization can be called the Civilization of Death. The earmark of this civilization is also its use of the double-standard, which clears the way for the vilification of life-affirming religion, while imposing incarceration for the relativization of the truly inhumane mass-murders of the Second World War.
The terror attack in France and the possibility that it might be repeated have revealed the moral crisis in the European and Atlantic civilizations and their defenselessness, and it must indicate a break. It must be said that, without holiness, there is no human life; that multi-culturalism, falsely promoted by economics or underlying powers, has failed, with all the accompanying consequences. Europe, if she wants to live, must discard the unnatural immigration politics that she has practiced for half a century. Europe must acknowledge that freedom of speech, art or the press should not be allowed to offend the rights of others, their religious persuasions, and their human or national dignity.
Europe must also examine her great-power politics, for the Islamic State with its cult of murder and its killing-cells already penetrating into the fabric of the European societies, would not have been born without the wars afire in the Middle East, which were started with the support of Europe.
Let us mourn for Europe! That Europe, where the Civilization of Death has taken the place of the life-affirming Christianity. However, we believe that there is a way out for Europe.
The Hungarian answer to the crisis in Europe: the Country of the Holy Crown. A state, which embodies Holiness in its name, which, at the same time represents the main power of the state. A state, in which the greatest founding principle is: every person deserves equal dignity. A state in which the ethnic groups and national minorities enjoy the same public rights as the state-founding nation. The future is in the spirit of the Holy Crown.
Europe must also learn from the eighth "admonition" of Saint Stephen, the Christian founder of the Hungarian state, to his son Prince Imre, who also became a saint: Honor and preserve your traditions. For: "Which Greek would administer to the Latins according to the Greek morals, or which Latin would administer to the Greeks according to the Latin morals?"
Concluding words: Therefore, Europe should, without fail, consider: what would happen if it should "turn out" that the outrage in Paris was not the work of some extremist Muslim group?

Terrorangriff gegen die „Zivilisation des Todes”
Die ungarische Antwort
Wir trauern um die im Terrorangriff in Paris abgeschlachteten Journalisten, die ermordeten Polizisten und Geisel. Wir verurteilen den Terrorangriff, das Töten der nach den Gesetzen ihres Landes unschuldigen Pariser Journalisten.
Die Angreifer begründeten ihre Tat mit der kontinuierlichen Verletzung ihrer religiösen Gefühle und Symbole durch das französische satirische Blatt. Für diesen Fall kennt ihre „Kultur“ nur eine einzige mögliche Strafe: den Tod. Die gestrige Pariser Demonstration, die Millionen Menschen bewegt hat, beweist, dass Frankreich und Europa dies ganz anders sehen und dabei verbleiben, dass die Freiheit der Rede, der Kunst und der Presse durch nichts eingeschränkt werden darf, nicht einmal durch den Glauben und dessen Symbole. Die achtzigtausend Polizisten, die fürs Ergreifen der drei Täter des Terrorangriffs aufgestellt wurden, die Ausmaße der gestrigen Demonstration in Paris, die große Zahl der dort erschienenen hochrangigen Politiker, lässt keinen Zweifel daran, dass Frankreich und die Europäische Union entschlossen sind ihre säkulare Kultur zu verteidigen.
Es gibt aber auch andere Stimmen. Es gibt Menschen, die denken, dass das satirische Blatt die Grenzen der Pressefreiheit weit überschritten hat. Es gibt Menschen, die denken, dass dieses Blatt bereits damals verboten gehört hätte als es die zentralen Figuren des christlichen Glaubens, die Heilige Dreifaltigkeit auf der Titelseite zu Hauptdarstellern einer obszönen homosexuellen Orgie machte. Im Staat der französischen Revolution und dem danach geprägten Europa blieb diese schreckliche Gotteslästerung ohne Folgen.
Wenn Europa aus seiner Geschichte gelernt hätte, wäre es zu diesem Blutbad möglicherweise nicht gekommen. Europa hatte genug Gelegenheit die blutigen Konflikte in Verbindung mit dem Glauben und dessen Symbolen kennenzulernen, denn vor vier Jahrhunderten, im Dreißigjährigen Krieg ist die Bevölkerung Westeuropas durch die endlose, religiös motivierte Mörderei fast ausgerottet worden.
Die Ungarn gaben schon damals – vorzeitig – eine gehörige Antwort: Der Landtag von Torda (6.-13. Jänner 1568) hielt ein halbes Jahrhundert vor dem Ausbruch des Dreißigjährigen Krieges (1618-1648) die Gleichheit der religiösen Konfessionen gesetzlich fest, wobei festgehalten wurde, dass niemand wegen seiner religiösen Überzeugung einen Nachteil erleiden darf.[1].
Frankreichs heutige Entschlossenheit ist rührend. Daraus folgt jedoch nicht, dass die Gotteslästerung ungestraft lassenden Gesellschaften aus dem Kampf zwischen dem Leben und dem Tod siegreich hervorgehen, selbst wenn sie zum Schutz ihres vermeintlichen Rechts noch so große irdische Kräfte mobilisieren.
Jene Zivilisation nämlich, die aus ihrem Leben das Sakrale vertreibt und sich auf die Freiheit der Rede, der Kunst oder der Presse berufend die Gotteslästerung erlaubt, die Traditionen liquidiert und dadurch Individuen, Gemeinschaften, Völker und Nationen Ideologien ausliefert, die zur Durchsetzung der Interessen von sichtbaren oder unsichtbaren Gruppen dient, die das menschliche Leben vernichtenden Mitteln einen freien Weg öffnet, den Kult der gleichgeschlechtlichen Beziehungen pflegt, – jene Zivilisation kann als die Zivilisation des Todes bezeichnet werden. Diese Zivilisation mißt mit zweierlei Maß, sie gibt den Weg frei für die Schmähung der lebensbejahenden Religion, während sie die Relativierung des tatsächlich unmenschlichen Massenmords des Zweiten Weltkrieges mit Gefängnis straft.
Der Terrorangriff in Frankreich und dessen mögliche Fortsetzung hat die moralische Krise, die Ausgeliefertheit Europas und der atlantischen Zivilisation enthüllt und muss eine Zäsur bedeuten. Es muss ausgesprochen werden, dass es ohne das Sakrale kein menschliches Leben gibt, dass der aus wirtschaftlichen oder verborgenen Machtgründen scheinheilig erzwungene Multikulturalismus gescheitert ist. Mit all den Folgen! Europa, wenn es leben will, muss der seit einem halben Jahrhundert forcierten Einwanderungspolitik ein Ende setzen. Europa muss bekennen, dass die Freiheit der Rede, der Kunst und der Presse die Rechte, religiöse Überzeugung, menschliche und nationale Würde anderer nicht verletzen darf.
Europa muss auch seine Großmachtpolitik überprüfen, denn der Islamische Staat, der den Kult der Ausrottung von Menschen schuf und die Zellen des Mordes nun auch ins Gewebe der europäischen Gesellschaften einbaut, hätte ohne die den Nahen Osten in Feuer hüllenden – mit europäischer Unterstützung begonnenen – Kriege, nicht entstehen können.
Wir trauern um Europa! Um jenes Europa, wo an Stelle der christlichen Lebensbejahung die Zivilisation des Todes getreten ist. Wir glauben aber, dass es für Europa einen Ausweg gibt.
Die ungarische Antwort auf die Krise Europas: das Land der Heiligen Krone. Ein Staat, in dessen Namen schon das Sakrale erscheint und die staatliche Obergewalt vertritt. Ein Staat, in dem das oberste ordnende Prinzip die gleiche Würde aller Menschen ist. Ein Staat, in dem neben der staatsbildenden Nation auch Völkergruppen und nationale Minderheiten Gemeinschaftsrechte besitzen. Die Zukunf ist im Zeichen der Heiligen Krone.
Auch Europa sollte aus der achten Mahnung des den christlichen ungarischen Staat gründenden Königs, des Heiligen Stefan zu seinem ebenfalls zum Heiligen erklärten Sohn, zum Prinz Emmerich, lernen. Beachte und behalte die Traditionen. Denn: „Welcher Grieche würde die Lateiner gemäß den griechischen Sitten regieren, oder welcher Lateiner die Griechen gemäß lateinischen Sitten?”
Schlusswort: Europa muss unverzüglich darüber zu denken anfangen: was geschieht, wenn es „sich herausstellen würde”, dass das Attentat von Paris nicht durch eine extremistische Muslim-Gruppe organisiert wurde?
